5、chranonitsownspecialPLATOhardware,includingcentralcomputersandterminals.ThePLATOsystemincludedvocabularydrills,briefgrammarexplanationsanddrills,andtranslationstestsatvariousintervals.Inthelate1970sandearly1980s,behavioristicCALLwasunderminedbytwoimportan
6、tfactors.First,behavioristicapproachestolanguagelearninghadbeenrejectedatboththetheoreticalandthepedagogicallevel.Secondly,theintroductionofthemicrocomputerallowedawholenewrangeofpossibilities.ThestagewassetforanewphaseofCALL.1.2CommunicativeCALLBasedonth
