2、esatleasttwocultures,whichimpliesthatinevitablyithastodealwiththevariabilityfactorcreatedbydifferentcultures,i.e.aseriesofhabits,valuejudgments,classificationsystems,etc.ineachnational-linguisticcommunity(Aixelá,2007:52-3).Cultural-specificterms(CSTs),whichgenerally
3、includelocalinstitutions,streets,historicalfigures,placenames,personalnames,periodicals,worksofart,etc.,representonesignificantepitomeofthis‘culturalasymmetry’betweentwolinguisticcommunities.HowtodealwithCSTsprovokesheateddiscussionsamongacademicworldoftranslation.S
4、trategieslikedomesticationandforeignisationfromLawrenceVenutiandmorespecificallyconservationandsubstitutionfromJavierFrancoAixeláhavemadeoutstandingcontributionstoconstructingframeworksforCSTstranslation.Thepurposeofthispaperisinitiallytopresentstrategiesintranslati
