3、e,anditispredictedthatafterjoiningtheWTO,agriculturalemploymentopportunitieswillbereducedby9million662thousand.Thissentencewaslaterinterpretedbysomemediaasfollows:nearly10millionfarmerswilllosetheirjobsafterjoiningthewto.Somefamousscholarsalsocalled"warning"inthenewspapers:afterjoiningWTO,
4、China'sagriculturewilllose60to7billion,andthepercapitaincomeoffarmerswilldecline.Evenhasalwaysbeenhonest,good-naturedfarmersalsoshowedabnormalreaction,thirddaysfromChinaandtheUnitedStatesreachedaWTOagreement,althoughthegovernmenthastofalloffduringtheacquisitionoffood,butsomeplaceshaverenew
5、edsalesclimax".Webelievethattheabovepessimisticresearchandprediction,aswellastheoccurrenceofabnormalphenomena,havevariousreasons,andmustbecarefullyanalyzedandtreated.BecauseafterjoiningtheWTO,Chinashouldnotonlyundertaketheobligationsgenerallyassumedbythecontractingparties,butalsoenjoytheri
6、ghtsofthecontractingparties.Wecanmakefulluseofdomesticandinternationaltwokindsofresources,twomarkets,toincreasemoreopportunitiesfordevelopment.Ofcourse,wewillalsofacemorefiercecompetitionintheinternationalmarket.Facingthenewenvironmentofthecoming,weshouldtakeprecautions,graspthebasicruleso
