3、nthedevelopmentofeducationaltheoriesandtechnology,ofthewaywethinkaboutforeignlanguagelearningandefficiencyofsecondlanguagelearning.Asthefocusofresearchshiftsfromteachingtolearning,moreandmoreattentionispaidtotheindividuallanguagelearner.Learningtoreadiscruci

4、alforeverystudent,sincetheacquisitionofthereadingskillsopensupnewpossibilitiesforexploringthewestworldandcommunicatingwithpeoplefromotherculturalbackground.Furthermore,thehighproportionofreadingcomprehensioninalmostallkindsoftestsbothhomeandabroadindicatesth

5、atreadingabilityisareliablecriteriontotestthelearners’languagelevel.Havinganeyetothesituationoftherotemethodsoflearninginpresenthighschool,theauthortriestoexplorethecorrelationbetweenachievementgoalorientationsandEnglishreadingstrategies.Meanwhile,theauthort
