3、atAlzheimer’sdisease(AD)havelargelyfocusedonremovingexcessaggregation-proneamyloidpeptideAβfromthebrain,anapproachthathasproduceddisappointingclinicaloutes.AnalternativehypothesisproposesthatAβproductionandaggregationisasymptomofalarger,systemicdiseas
4、eaffectingtheregulationoflipids,includingcholesterol.Inthisscenario,lipiddysregulationakingitanidealtargetforpredictingriskofmildcognitiveimpairment(MCI)toADconversion.Here,acrolideagecausedby27-hydroxycholesterolandentiastatusinhumanperipheralbloodce
5、lls.TheseresultsprovidestrongpreliminarydatasuggestingthatfilipincouldbeofuseinthedevelopmentofaquickandinexpensivemethodtomeasuretheriskofADconversioninpatientsentingexistingtestingstrategiesthatfocusontheconsequencesofAβaccumulation.Keyer’sDisease,L
