4、词的省略6．非人称代词“It”的省略II．省略法在汉英翻译中的运用1．省略冗词赘语2．省略概念范畴类词语3．省略过详的细节描述汉语较英语简练。英译汉时，许多在原文中必不可少的词语要是原原本本地译成汉语，就会成为不必要的冗词，译文会显得十分累赘。因此省略法在英译汉中使用得非常广泛，其主要目的是删去一些可有可无、不符合译文习惯表达法的词语，如实词中的代词、动词的省略；虚词中的冠词、介词和连词的省略等。汉语也有重复啰嗦、拖泥带水的语言现象，因此省略法也同样适用于汉译英的某些情况。汉译英的省略主要是省略冗词赘语，以及一些表示概念范畴的
