4、eencodesapolypeptideof439strandRNAvirusesassociatedwithdiseasesofeconom-aminoacidswhichisN-glycosylatedatnineorI0icimportanceinbothanimalsandhumans(Wegeetal.,positions(Shiehetal.,1989;Yokomorietal.,1989).In1982).Amongthemostintensivelystudiedmembersofthevirion,theHEproteiniscomposedofdisulphide-the
5、grouparethemurinecoronaviruses,collectivelylinkedhomodimersof120000Mr(Siddell,1982).Theknownasmurinehepatitisvirus(MHV).Theseviruseshomodimersareanchoredinthevirusmembraneandarecharacterizedbytheirabilitytocauseavarietyofformtheshortspikestructuresseeninnegativelystaineddifferentdiseasesdependingon
6、thevirusisolate,thehostpreparations(Sugiyama&Amano,1981).animalandtherouteofinfection.MHV-basedanimalAshasbeennotedpreviously,thepredictedaminomodelshavebeenestablishedforneurological,entericacidsequenceoftheMHVHEproteinshowsabout75%andhepaticdiseases(Lamontagneetal.,1989;Bartholdsimilaritywiththeb
