4、activatedwithshort-waveultravioletlight,beta-propiolactoneorpsoralen.MicewerealsoinoculatedwithliveMHV-JHMafterrecoveryfromhomotypicorheterotypicMHVinfection.SpleencellsfromBALBmiceinoculatedoronasallywithinactivatedMHV-JHMyieldedex-tremelyvariableinvitr

5、oproliferativeresponsesafterconcanavalinAstimu-lation.MHV-susceptiblemiceexposedoronasaUyorintraperitoneallytovirusinactivatedbyanyoftheminimumeffectivetreatmentsfailedtoseroconvert.Immunizationwithpsoralen-treatedvirusintraperitoneallyinFreund'scom-plet

6、eadjuvantororonasallyfailedtoprotectfromliveviruschallenge,butsurvivorshadelevatedvirus-specificserumIgGantibodytiterscomparedtomock-immunizedcontrolsattwoweekspost-challenge.Spleencellsfrommicethatwerechallengedafterrecoveryfromhomotypiclivevirusinfecti
