4、language,andtheyhavedifferentstudymethods.Thestudyobjectsofsemanticsiswords,phrasesandsentences,whatweneedtoknowistheirmeaning,sense,referenceandpresupposes.Differentwordsmayhavethesameorsimilarmeaning,thesameonewordmayhavemorethanonemeaning.Andonewordmaybelongtoanotherword.Sowecanconclud
5、ethewordstotheserelations,Suchassynonymy,polysemy,homonymy,hyponymyandantonymy.Andwhenwetalkaboutthesenserelationsbetweensentences,wemaythinkofpresupposes.Whetheritisrightunderthepresupposes.Allthosearesemantics.Itwouldnotchangewiththecontext.莁Pragmaticsstudythemeaningofnaturallanguageund
6、erstanding,whetherthediscoursebehaviorisappropriateinaspecialcontext.Itmostlystudytherelationbetweenwordsandsentenceorsentenceandsentence.Themeaningofthelanguagecanbedividedintoseveralact.Suchaslocutionaryact,illocutionaryandperlocutionaryact.wordsareusedtorefertotheeventsorobjectsinthere
