4、dependsonteacherevaluationwhilestudentsareseldomrequiredtodoself-assessmentandself-reflection.Therefore,thereformoftheteachingandassessingmethodsinseniorhighschoolisofgreatsignificance.Asanimportantapproachofformativeassessment,portfolioassessmentreceivesm

5、uchattentioninrecentyears.ThisthesisfocusesonthefeasibilityandeffectivenessofportfolioassessmentonEnglishwritinginstructioninseniorhighschoolwiththepurposeofofferinganeweffectivetooltopromotetheteachingofEnglishwriting.TheexperimentstartedfromSeptembertoDe

6、cemberin2016,andtheexperimentalparticipantswere100studentsofGrade1attheNo.4SeniorHighSchoolinJinzhou.These100studentswerefromClass1andClass2,andClass1wasselectedastheexperimentalclass(EC)andClass2wasregardedasthecontrolclass(CC)randomly.Theauthorproposedth

7、reeresearchquestions:(1)Canportfolioassessmentaffectstudents’writingstrategies?(2)Canportfolioassessmenteffectivelyimprovestudents’self-reflectionabilityintheprocessofEnglishwriting?(3)Canportfolioassessmenteffectivelypromotestudents’writingproficiency?The

8、authorimplementedportfolioassessmentintheECwhiletheCCreceivedthetraditionalevaluationmethodinwritinginstruction.Andthedatawascollectedfromquestionnaires,writingtestsandclassroomobservation.ThenSPSSwasusedtoan
