1、AbstractWhilestandardteachingmethodsonwritinghavebeennotedtogainfruitsinteachingpractice,therearestillsomeproblemsassociatedwiththemandmuchroomfordevelopment.Writingportfolioappearstoshowitssignificanceinmodernteachingpractice,andimprovelearnerautonomyinandout
2、classrooms.Sincetheyearof2002,thenewEnglishCurriculumStandardsuggestsEnglishwritingcanbeexaminedandassessedinmanywaysbeyondthetraditionaltexts,andthepossibilitythattheapplicationofEnglishwritingportfoliomaybeusedasaeffectivetoolinEnglishwritingclass.Thisstudye
3、xaminestherelationshipbetweentheconstructionofEnglishwritingportfolioandlearnerautonomythroughexperimentsinreallyclassandtoproposemethodstoimproveautonomyonthebaseofwritingportfolio.Theresearchquestionthatwasinvestigatedwas:(l)Canthetrainingofsettingupwritingp
4、ortfoliopromotelearners'abilityofautonomouslearning?(2)Canthetrainingofsettingupwritingportfoliopromotelearners^writingability?Thecorrelationwasmeasuredfor92participantsintwoclassesfrominaNo.lseniorschoolinthecityofJinChanginGansuProvince.Thisisimportantbecaus
5、eoftherelativelylowEnglishwritinglevelinseniorhighschoolaroundChina,especiallyinthewestpartofChina.Traditionalclasshasreducedstudentsinterestinlearninginwriting,especiallyEnglishwriting.Ontheotherhand,highschoolistransitionalperiodofenteringtotheuniversity,and
6、italsoprovidesthefoundationforstudentsoffuturelifeduetogoodtimeofyouth.Tosomeextent,whatthestudentslearnandhowtheylearninseniorhighschoolguides,andevendeterminesthewholeknowledgeofindividuaFslife.Thisstudyisinhopethatitmightimprovetheeffectivenessofthestudents
7、^learningnotonlyontheclassinseniorhighschool,andmoreimportantly,theircontinuouslyautonomouslearningaftertheclass.Thisstudyadoptsmanyapproaches,suchasobservation,questionnaire,formalandinformalinterviewandtest,andthedatawasprocessedwithSPSSsoftwareandMicrosoftE
8、xcel.Thefindingspointtoapositive,significantrelationshipbetweentheconstructionofEnglishwritingportfolioandlearnerautonomyandthewritingability,a10%ofincreaseonlearnerautonomy,anda15
