2、lopment.Writingportfolioappearstoshowitssignificanceinmodernteachingpractice,andimprovelearnerautonomyinandoutclassrooms.Sincetheyearof2002,thenewEnglishCurriculumStandardsuggestsEnglishwritingcanbeexaminedandassessedinmanywaysbeyondthetraditionaltexts,andthep
3、ossibilitythattheapplicationofEnglishwritingportfoliomaybeusedasaeffectivetoolinEnglishwritingclass.ThisstudyexaminestherelationshipbetweentheconstructionofEnglishwritingportfolioandlearnerautonomythroughexperimentsinreallyclassandtoproposemethodstoimproveauto
4、nomyonthebaseofwritingportfolio.Theresearchquestionthatwasinvestigatedwas:(1)Canthetrainingofsettingupwritingportfoliopromotelearners’abilityofautonomouslearning?(2)Canthetrainingofsettingupwritingportfoliopromotelearners’writingability?Thecorrelationwasmeasur
5、edfor92participantsintwoclassesfrominaNo.1seniorschoolinthecityofJinChanginGansuProvince.ThisisimportantbecauseoftherelativelylowEnglishwritinglevelinseniorhighschoolaroundChina,especiallyinthewestpartofChina.Traditionalclasshasreducedstudentsinterestinlearnin
6、ginwriting,especiallyEnglishwriting.Ontheotherhand,highschoolistransitionalperiodofenteringtotheuniversity,anditalsoprovidesthefoundationforstudentsoffuturelifeduetogoodtimeofyouth.Tosomeextent,whatthestudentslearnandhowtheylearninseniorhighschoolguides,andeve
7、ndeterminesthewholeknowledgeofindividual’slife.Thisstudyisinhopethatitmightimprovetheeffectivenessofthestudents’learningnotonlyontheclassinseniorhighschool,andmoreimportantly,theircontinuouslyautonomouslearningaftertheclass.Thisstudyadoptsmanyapproaches,suchas
