3、twhichisinanywayfalse,misleading,deceptiveorinsignificantinanymanner.Toensurethatnonutritionalclaimsaremadewithoutnutritionlabelling.PRINCIPLESFORNUTRITIONLABELLINGA.Nutrientdeclaration-Informationsuppliedshouldbeforthepurposeofprovidingconsumerswithasuitableprofileofnutrientsc

4、ontainedinthefoodandconsideredtobeofnutritionalimportance.Theinformationshouldnotleadconsumerstobelievethatthereisexactquantitativeknowledgeofwhatindividualsshouldeatinordertomaintainhealth,butrathertoconveyanunderstandingofthequantityofnutrientscontainedintheproduct.Amoreexact

5、quantitativedelineationforindividualsisnotvalidbecausethereisnomeaningfulwayinwhichknowledgeaboutindividualrequirementscanbeusedinlabelling.B.Supplementarynutritioninformation-Thecontentofsupplementarynutritioninformationwillvaryfromonecountrytoanotherandwithinanycountryfromone

6、targetpopulationgrouptoanotheraccordingtotheeducationalpolicyofthecountryandtheneedsofthetargetgroups.C.Nutritionlabelling-Nutritionlabellingshouldnotdeliberatelyimplythatafoodwhichcarriessuchlabellinghasnecessarilyanynutritionaladvantageoverafoodwhichisnotsolabelled.1TheCodexG
