3、ALYST2.1Residueanalysisconsistsofachainofprocedures,mostofwhichareknown,orreadilyunderstood,byatrainedchemist,butbecausetheanalyteconcentrationsareintherangemg/kgtoµg/kg,attentiontodetailisessential.Theanalystinchargeshouldhaveanappropriateprofessionalqualificationandbeexperiencedandcompetentinres

4、idueanalysis.Staffmustbefullytrainedandexperiencedincorrectuseofapparatusandinappropriatelaboratoryskills.TheymusthaveanunderstandingoftheprinciplesofpesticideresidueanalysisandtherequirementsofAnalyticalQualityAssurance(AQA)systems.Theymustunderstandthepurposeofeachstageinthemethodbeingused,theim

5、portanceoffollowingthemethodsexactlyasdescribedandofnotinganyunavoidabledeviations.Theymustalsobetrainedintheevaluationandinterpretationofthedatawhichtheyproduce.Arecordoftrainingandexperiencemustbekeptforallmembersofstaff.2.2Whenalaboratoryforresidueanalysisissetup,thestaffshouldspendsomeoftheirt
