2、cerningfoodimportandexportinspectionandcertificationsystems.Suchagreementsmaybebindinginstrumentstakingtheformof“internationalagreements”undertheViennaConventionontheLawofTreaties,ortheymaybeotherlessformalarrangementssuchasmemorandaofunderstanding.2.SECTION2–DEFINITIONS1.2.A

3、uditisasystematicandfunctionallyindependentexaminationtodeterminewhetheractivitiesandrelatedresultscomplywithplannedobjectives.22.3.3.Certificationistheprocedurebywhichofficialcertificationbodiesandofficiallyrecognizedbodiesprovidewrittenorequivalentassurancethatfoodsorfoodco

4、ntrolsystemsconformtorequirements.Certificationoffoodmaybe,asappropriate,basedonarangeofinspectionactivitieswhichmayincludecontinuouson-lineinspection,auditingofqualityassurancesystems,andexaminationoffinishedproducts.24.5.4.Certificationsystemmeansofficialandofficiallyrecogn
