6、ndergonearadicaltransformationsincethelate1970sandearly1980s.InAfrica,urbancultivationhasbecomeapermanentpartofthelandscape.Inthebeginningofthe1980s,amere10–25%oftheurbanpopulationinAfricawasengagedinurbanagriculturewhileupto70%oftheurbanpopulationinAfrica,andupto60%inAsia,havebecomeurb
