3、dbasictranslationmethod,etc.Theseaspectshavebeenmadeincisivestudiesbyresearchers;however,asthegemofanation'sculture,idiomsshouldhavemoreconnectionwithculture.Itisthecolorfulculturalinformation,nationalflavorandthecharmofalienculturethatshouldbedeeply
4、studiedandcarriedforwardrelyingonthestrengthoftranslation.AsJuriLotmanmaintains,“nosinglelanguageisnotrootedinaspecificculture;neitherdoesacultureisnotcenteredbythestructureofsomecertainnaturallanguage.”(JuriLotman,1987)Therefore,onecangetamoresatisf
5、yingresultbyconsideringculturalfactorsinthesametimeasstudyingthesourcelanguageandrenderingittothetargetedlanguage.Fromthisperspective,translatorsshouldnotonlytranslatetheimageandrhetoricdevicesofSLbutalsoitsnationalandlocalflavorandpaymuchattentionto
6、itsculturaldivergences.Inviewoftheinadequacyandincomprehensiveresearchdoneintheidiomtranslationfieldandthegreatsignificanceoftheinfluenceofculturalfactorsonidiomtranslation,thepresentpaperwillmakeacomprehensivestudyofEnglishandChineseidiomsinthecultu
7、ralperspective.Inthepresentpaper,theauthorwillelaboratetherelationshipbetweenlanguage,cultureandidiomtranslation,followedbyacomprehensiveanalysisofinfluenceofdiversifiedculturalfactorsonidiomtranslation.Bycombiningwithaliteraturereviewofsometranslati
