4、nMinford’sTheStoryoftheStonearecompleteversionsandthetwomostoutstandingones.Comparedwithstudiesonthetranslationofthenarrationinthisnovelandtheculturalinformationinvariousaspectsindailylife,studiesonthetranslationofitspoetryaretobefurtherdeepened.Inthisthesis
5、,theauthorwouldviewtheEnglishtranslationofthepoetryinthisnovelfromthereproductionofthewriter’sintentionsandtheconveyanceof“ThreeBeauties”.Bystudyingthetranslationofthesepoems,wemayseethenecessityandpossibilityofthetranslationofthepoetryinthisnovel.Theprincip
6、leofthe“ThreeBeauties”whichisaguidetothetranslationandcriticismofpoetryrefersto“beautyinsense,beautyinsoundandbeautyinform”.IthasbeenputforwardagainbyProfessorXuYuanchongbasedonhispredecessors’researchandhisownpractice.Itmeansthatthetranslatorofpoetryshoulde
