4、hefactthatJapaneseartinthepastwasdistinguishedbyitsoriginality.ItmaywellbethatancientJapaneseart,consideredcritically,istheartofalessadvancedsociety,butthisdoesnotmeanthataJapanesestyleofanimationcanorshoulddispensewithit.Whetherwelikeitornot,traditionalartmustbethefoundat
5、ionofatrulyJapaneseanimatedcartoon.Originalityinthenewformwillnotbeattainedbyignoringthepast,fortheanimatedcartoon,likeothermodernformsofart,isadevelopmentofinheritancesfromthepast.IthasbeenpointedoutbyS.M.EisensteinthatancientJapanesearthascharacteristicscloselyrelatedtot
