1、InfluenceofMotherTongueinSLASincewebeganlearningthesecondlanguage,mothertongueplaysanimportantroleintheacquisitionofit.Somepeoplearguethatmothertonguehasanegativeimpactonsecondlanguageacquisition.Whilesomepeoplebelievethatmothertongueinfluencethesecondlanguageac
2、quisitionpositively.Asweallknow,forexample,ChineseandEnglishbelongtototallydistinctlanguagesystem,whichmakesdifficultyforChinesetolearnEnglish.WehavebeenkeepingsomerigidChineserulesinourmindsincewearebabieswhobeganlearningournativelanguage.Asaresultof,theregulat
3、ionsofthemothertonguealwayshasnegativeimpactonSLA.Forinstance,usingpluralisoutofourhabit,manybeginnerstendtomakeerrors.Manyprimelearnersalsodonotknowhowtouseappropriatetensewhereitisnecessary.Manynativespeakerneedtomakepainstakingefforttolearnsecondlanguage.Them
4、othertonguehasinfluencedtheSLAinmanyaspects.Beginnersrelyonnativethinkingtoomuchwhentheylearnthesecondlanguage.Inanotherwords,themothertonguelimitsthelearningmodelwhennativespeakerstrytoacquiresecondlanguage.Forexample,mothertonguewouldinfluencethepronunciations
