3、tlearningstrategiesduringlearning.Thestudyoflearningstrategiesinsecondlanguageacquisitionstartedaroundthe1970s(forexample,Rubin1975;WongFillmore1976and1979;Stern1975).Itaimedatidentifyingtherangeofstrategies.Muchofthestudyhasclearlybeeninfluencedbydevelopmentsin
4、cognitivepsychology.Theemergenceoflearningstrategiestracedbacktoansweringthequestion:Whyaresomepeoplemoreeffectiveatlearningthanothers?EffectivelearningisnotmerelyamatterofahighIQ.Whatseemstobemoreimportantisthelearners’abilitytorespondtotheparticularlearningsit
5、uationandtomanagetheirlearninginanappropriatemanner.Morerecentstudieshavetendedtofocusonthestrategieswhenlearnersperformparticulartasks.AsaEnglishmajor,thestudentsmustusemorestategiesinlearningEnglish.Sowewanttodetectthesituationofusingwritingstrategiesamongthem
