3、arningstrategiesinsecondlanguageacquisitionstartedaroundthe1970s(forexample,Rubin1975;WongFillmore1976and1979;Stern1975).Itaimedatidentifyingtherangeofstrategies.Muchofthestudyhasclearlybeeninfluencedbydevelopmentsincognitivepsychology.Theemergenceoflearningstrategiestracedbacktoanswe
4、ringthequestion:Whyaresomepeoplemoreeffectiveatlearningthanothers?EffectivelearningisnotmerelyamatterofahighIQ.Whatseemstobemoreimportantisthelearners’abilitytorespondtotheparticularlearningsituationandtomanagetheirlearninginanappropriatemanner.Morerecentstudieshavetendedtofocusonthes
