3、ionsfromdifferentcountriesthroughouttheMiddleEast,werecarriedoutusingISSRandSSRmarkers.TheresultsshowedthatTibetanwildcloserelativesofbarleyhadahighergeneticdiversitythanthosefromtheMiddleEast.TenISSRprimersamplified91allelicvariants,ofwhich79werepolymorphic(86.81%),intheTibetangenotyp

4、esand82allelicvariants,ofwhich66werepolymorphic(80.49%),intheMiddleEastgenotypes.ElevenprimerpairsofSSRmarkersamplified100allelicvariantsamongtheTibetangenotypeswith100polymorphicbands(100%).AmongtheMiddleEastgenotypes,78allelicvariantswereproducedcontaining77polymorphicbands(98.72%).M

5、oreover,thetotalgenediversityanalysis(HT)valuesofTibetanbarley(0.227forISSRsand0.126forSSRs)werehigherthanthoseofMiddleEast(0.212forISSRsand0.102forSSRs).ClusteranalysisoftheISSRandSSRresultsbytheUPGMAmethodrevealedtwodistinctgroupscorrelatedwiththegeographicoriginofsampling.Theseresu
