1、SenseRelationsAbstract:Senserelationsarethemeaningrelationshipbetweenwordandwordinlexicalsystem,whichistheconceptmeaningofvocabulary.Senserelationshavevarietiesofrelations,mainlyincludingsynonymy,antonymy,polysemy,homonymy,hyponymy,taxonomy,partonomya
2、ndsoon.Anywordmaybeinmanyrelations,therefore,everywordcomposesofonemeaningnetworkinactually.Manysenserelationsrepresentthewordsinvocabulary’ssystemarenotanon-sequencegathering.Keywords:Synonymy,Homonymy,Hyponymy,Taxonomy.Ⅰ.SynonymyRelationshipissynony
3、mouswiththewordtwoormorelexicalitemswiththesameorsimilarmeaningofthelanguagephenomenon.Synonymscanbedividedinto"absolutesynonyms"and"relativesynonymous."Theso-called"absolutesynonyms"arethoseidenticalinmeaningandusageinanycontextcanbeinterchangeablesy
4、nonyms.Forexample:fatherland-motherland,compounding-compositionperformanceoftechnicaltermsandsomeothersynonyminthesynonymofthisnaturearefewinanylanguage.Mostareconsideredsynonymouswith"relativesynonymous"thattheyhaveacommonbasicmeaning,butthereisalway
5、sbetweensomeminordifferences.Thesedifferencesaremainlyinthefollowingareas:dialectdifferences:Life-elevator;railway-railroad,theformerisBritishEnglish,whichisAmericanEnglish.Stylisticdifferences:employer-boss;fatigued-tired;decease-die,theformeriscommo
6、nlyusedinmoreformalsettings,whilethelatterusedforinformaloccasions.Ⅱ.Antonymy7Antonymyisopposingarelationshipofmutualrelationsconstituteapairofwordsiscalledantonym.Antonymyisanimportantcognitivestyleinourthinking.Whenwedefinedthedefinitionofantonym,at
7、firstweshouldmakesureofthemeaningofvocabularyareopposite,meanwhile,weneedtohaveanestablishedlexicalrelationship,whichistherangeofvocabularyused.Thefirstcategoryofantonymiscalled“trueantonym”,or“contradictoryterms”,“binaryantonym”,"Complementaryword",“
