3、itherpartytoabusinesstransactionhasrelativelylimitedknowledgeofthefinancialstrengthandcommercialreputationofhiscounterpart.Paymentclauseincludingsuchaspectsastime,place,modesandinstrumentsofpaymentisveryimportantinaninternationalsalescontract.InternationalPaymentPayment
4、forinternationaltradeisdifficultandcomplicatedforanumberofreasons.First,longerdistanceandmoreproceduresareinvolved.Second,longertimeisneeded.Third,differentregulationsandlawsmaybeinvolved.Fourth,currenciesandfinancialsystemsaredifferentindifferentcountries.Paymentmustbe
5、handledwithspecialcare.InstrumentsofPaymentDraftDraft,alsoreferredtoasbillofexchange,isanunconditionalwrittenorderissuedbyoneperson(thedrawer)toanother(thedrawee),requiringthelattertopayondemand,oratafixedtimeordeterminablefuturetimeasumofmoneytoortotheorderofaspecified
6、person,ortothebearer(thepayee).Thepayeeandthedraweraregenerallybutnotnecessarilythesameperson,asthedrawercaninstructthedraweeeithertopay“totheorderofourselves”or“totheorderofsomeoneelse”,forinstance,thebank.Accordingtothetimeofpayment,adraftcanbeasightdraftoratimedraft(
