3、erofapredicateandexpressesanact,occurrence,ormodeofbeing...”.Fromthisdefinitionwecanseethatthesemanticfunctionofaverbistodescribeamotion,mayitbeanact,occurrence,ormodeofbeing.However,motionitselfcannotmakeupamotionevent.Thereareotherelementsassociatedwithmotionsuchasdirection(asin"take"and"bring"),
4、manner(asin"prance”),aspect(asin“restart”)andsoon.Alltheseassociativeelements,togetherwithmotion,constituteamotioncomplex.Semanticelementsarerealizedbylinguisticstructuresofvariousforms.Amotioncomplexisexpressedbywhatwecallaverbcomplex,whichcomprisestheheadverb,theparticleandthereflection.Sincerefl
