3、AIfieldanddevelopedhisowntheoryofframeinlinguistics.Fillmoredefinedframeas“anysystemoflinguisticchoices-theeasiestcasesbeingcollectionsofwords,butalsoincludingchoicesofgrammaticalrulesorlinguisticcategories-thatcangetassociatedwithprototypicalinstancesofscenes”(Fillmore,1975:124)presentstudiesPre

4、sentstudiesonframesemanticshavecoveredthefieldsrangingfrommorphologytodiscourseanalysis,translationandlanguageacquisition.Forthemostpart,studiesonframesemanticsfocusedonlexicography,especiallycomputationallexicography.basicconceptsThebasicassumptionofFrameSemanticsisthatinordertounderstandthemean

5、ingofthewordsinalanguagewemustfirsthaveknowledgeoftheconceptualstructures,orsemanticframes,whichprovidethebackgroundandmotivationfortheirexistenceinthelanguageandfortheiruseindiscourse.frameelementAframeelementissimplyaregularparticipant,feature,orattributeofthekindofsituationdescribedbyaframe.eg
