3、bornin1894,wasanAmericanpoet,painter,essayist,author,andplaywright.Hisbodyofworkencompassesapproximately2,900poems,twoautobiographicalnovels,fourplaysandseveralessays,aswellasnumerousdrawingsandpaintings.Heisrememberedasapreeminentvoiceof20thcenturypoetry,aswellasone
4、ofthemostpopular.Helovedcubismandfuturisminpainting,whilealltheachievementshemadeinotherareascanhardlybecomparedwithwhathedidinpoetry.Ingeneral,hispoemscanbeclassifiedinto3categories:BluesPoetry,whichjustliketheBluesmusic,utilizeslyric,rhythmandrhyme,andsharessomesim
5、ilarthemessuchaslostlove;concretepoetry,inwhichtypographicalarrangementofthewordsisimportantinconveyingtheeffectandelementsofthepoem;futurist,whichbelievesthattheconstraintsofsyntaxwereinappropriatetomodernlifeandthatitdidnottrulyrepresentthemindofthepoet.Syntaxwould
6、serveasafilterinwhichanalogieshadtobeprocessedandsoanalogieswouldlosetheircharacteristic"stupefaction".Inhispoetry,meterwasrejectedandthewordwasthetopconcern.Inthisway,hewasabletocreateanowlanguagefreeofsyntaxpunctuationandfulloffreeexpression.Attachedtohisfreeandcre
