5、ailureinAppliedLinguisticstorefertotheinabilitytounderstandwhatismeantbywhatissaid.Sheinsistthatintheinter-culturalcommunication,whenthehearercannotunderstandthesemanticmeaningifwhatthespeakersaysorgivesaninappropriateresponsetowhatthespeakermeans,thisleadstocommunicationfailure,whichisref
