3、thetimeoftheFirstInternationaloffersusefulinsightsintothestruggletoforgeanewinternationalisminourownday.TheFirstConditionofInternationalismIthasoftenbeenassumedthatMarxbelievedthatcapitalism'scolonialpenetrationoftheglobalperipheryoperatedasapurelyprogressiveforce,whichwoul
