2、ionischaracterizedbyjaundiceandhepaticdecompensationandassociatedwithhighmortality.Weconductedthisprospectiveobservationalstudytoassesstheefficacyoftelbivudine(LdT)andentecavir(ETV)inthesepatients. Methods:Twenty-onepatientswithspontaneousSAE[alanineamino
3、transferase(ALT)[5timesupperlimitofnormal(ULN,36U/L),totalbilirubin[2mg/dLandprothrombintimeinternationalnormalizedratio(INR)[1.3wereconsecutivelytreatedwithLdTandETV(9and12patients,respectively).Theclinicaloutcomesandontreatmentparameterswerecompared.Res
4、ults:Aftermedianfollow-upperiodof16.3months,2patientsdiedineachtreatmentgroup(22.2and16.7%inLdTandETVgroup,respectively,p=1.000).Thebaselineclinicalcharacteristicsweresimilar.TheALTandHBVDNAlevelsdecreasedsignificantlyfrombaselinetoweek2inbothtreatmentgro
5、ups(p=0.011andp=0.002;p=0.018andp=0.005,inLdTandETVgroup,respectively).ThecreatinineandeGFRatbaselineandweek2werenotsignificantlydifferent(0.72vs.0.95mg/dL,p=0.093and113.5vs.83mL/min/1.73m2,p=0.08,respectively)inLdTgroup,whereastherewassignificantincrease
6、increatinine(0.785vs.1.13mg/dL,p=0.019)anddecreaseineGFR(106vs.6/min/1.73m2,p=0.017)inETVgroup.Conclusions:LdTandETVhadcomparableefficacyinALTandHBVDNAdeclineandsimilarmortalityrateandtolerabilityinSAEofthosewithchronicHBVinfection.LdTmaymaintaintherenalp
