2、Theproteintyrosinephosphatase(PTP)superfamilyofenzymesfunctionsinacoordinatedmannerwithproteintyrosinekinasestocontrolsignallingpathwaysthatunderlieabroadspectrumoffundamentalphysiologic
3、alprocesses.Inthisreview,IdescriberecentbreakthroughsinourunderstandingoftheroleofthePTPsintheregulationofsignaltransductionandtheaetiologyofhumandisease.Inthiseraof‘omics’researchthathasfollowedthesignaltransduction.Attentionhasbeendrawnrecentlysequencingofthehumangenome,fa
4、miliesofsignallingtohaloaciddehalogenases,whichincludephosphatasesmoleculesarebeingdefinedandthecomplexitiesofthesuchasEyesabsent(Eya),whichalsofunctionsasatrans-regulationofsignaltransductionarenowbecomingcriptionfactor4,andchronophin,whichisaregulatorofapparent.Incontrastt
5、oinitialviewsofsignallingpath-cofilinphosphorylationand,thereby,affectsthedyna-waysassimplelineararrangementsofphosphorylationmicsoftheactincytoskeleton5.Theseenzymescatalysecascadesthatfunctioninisolation,itisnowclearthatdephosphorylationthroughanunusualmechanismthattherear
