3、sidiosyncrasiesinawaythatis'culture-bound':culturalwords,proverbsandofcourseidiomaticexpressions,whoseoriginanduseareintrinsicallyanduniquelyboundtothecultureconcerned.Sowearecalledupontodoacross-culturaltranslationwhosesuccesswilldependonourunderstandingof

4、thecultureweareworkingwith.翻译并不仅仅是找到意思相近的其它词，而是要找到合适的用另一种语言表达的方式。不同的语言使用不同的语言形式。翻译也是一种社会和心理的活动。在试图在他们之间建立任何桥梁之前，一个人应该熟悉自己民族的文化并且要意识到源语言文化的特征。作为翻译者，我们所面对的是一种外国文化，那么这就要求信息的传递也要以一种不同的方式进行。那文化在表达自己的特点时明显带有地域色彩：例如方言，谚语及惯用语等，它们的起源和使用与对应的文化息息相关。因此，我们翻译成败的关键将取决于我们对
