2、nuseandsocialimpactsfrom1995,1996,1997and2000.Themainthemescoveredinthesurveysareaccess,community/politicalinvolvement,andsocialinteraction.AfterabriefoverviewofassociationsbetweenInternetuseandinvolvement,thearticlesummarizestherelationshipsbetweenInternetuseandnonuse,a
3、ndofflineandonlinesocialinteraction.Essentially,acrossthesamples,Internetusersarequitesociable—theyaremoreinvolvedandsociallyactivethannonusers.TheseandrelatedresultsimplythatneitherdystopiannorutopianviewsofthesocialconsequencesoftheInternetaresupportedbyrepresentatives
