3、rovisionofschoolingfacilitiesatanearlystageofdevelopment.ThiscontrastineducationalachievementsinChinaandIndiaiscrucialinassessingtheirrespectivedevelopmentexperiencesandreformprogrammes.IntroductionfeatureofChina'sdevelopmentexperience,onthepartofrespondent

4、stooverstateorjustasthepersistenceofwidespreadunderstatetheirliteracystatus.Second,COMPARISONSbetweenIndiaandChinailliteracyisoneofIndia'smostseriousinvestigatorsmayhavetheirownreasonstohaveoftenbeenmadeinthedevelopmentsocialfailures.Inthispaper,weattemptov
