4、cancer.METHODS:ClinicaIdataof104patientswithcN0supraglotticcancer.treatedinCancerCenterofSunYat—senUniversityfrOm1992to1999.wereretrospectivelyreviewed.Theoccultlymphnodemetastasisrate.distributionofmetastaticIVmphnodes.reIatedfactors.andtreatmentoftheneckwereanalyzed.RE
5、SULTS:TheoccultIymphnodemetastasisrateswere23.1%(24/104)inthewholegroup.and23.9%(11/46)instageT2patients,30.8%(8/26)instageT3,18.5%(5/17)instageT4.ThemetastaticIymphnodesmainlyIocatedatIateraIIevelsll一…(22/24).Theprognosisofthepatientswithoccultlymphnodemetastasiswaspoor
6、(1og—rank=10.66,P=0.001).PositivemarginincreasedoccultIymphnodemetastasisrate(X2=10.O15,P=0.OO2),whilepathologicdifferentiation(X2=3.349,P=O.175),Tstage(X=2.701,P=0440),andtreatmentofprimarylesion(x=1.093,P=0.296)hadnoeffectsonit.SelectiveneckdissectionreducedoccultIymph
7、nodemetastasisrate(X=4.070,P=O.044).CoNCLUSIONS:TheoccultmetastaticlymphnodesofcN0supraglotticcancermainlyIocateatIateraIIevelsll一Ⅲ.Theprognosisofthepatientswithoccultlymphnodemetastasisispoor.PositivemarginincreasesoccultlymphnodemetastasisrateF0rpatientsatstageT1NO,obs
