3、ver,asurveyshowsthatalthoughteachersandstudentscanrealizetheimportanceofEnglishwritinginseniorhighschools,Englishwritingteaching,whichfocusesonstudents’abilitytopassthecollegeentranceexamination,isusuallydonebeforetheexamasaformofassaulttrainingandfailstogivestudent
4、ssystematicknowledgeofwriting.ThispaperattemptstoexploretheeffectivewayofEnglishwritingteachingbasedonthetheoryofconstructivismthroughthewritingexperimentamongstudentsofGradeOneinLuoyangNO.1seniorhighschool.First,thisstudyintroducestheconstructivismtheory,whichtreat
5、sstudentsasthecenteroflearning.Thecoreideasofconstructivismaresummarizedasfollows:(1)Knowledgeisconstructedactivelybystudents,andlearningisnotapassiveprocessofabsorptionbutanactiveexplorationofknowledge;(2)Learnersmustconstructanewcognitivestructurebasedontheirownpr
6、eviousexperienceinsteadofdiscoveringtheoutsideknowledgeindependentfromtheirminds;(3)Thelearningenvironment,suchas“situation’’,“cooperation”,“conversation”,playsanimportantpartinstudents’constructionofknowledge.Then,thispaperanalyzesthetraditionalEnglishwritingteachi
7、ngmethodsinseniorhighschoolandtheexistingproblems.Afterthat,thisstudyputsforwardtheEnglishwritingteachingstrategiesbasedonconstructivism:creatingthesituation-givingrequirements-independentthinking-groupdiscussion-independentwriting-mutualcooperating-correctingandass
