3、modeofoperationsuggestednameddatainsteadofthenamedhostsoftheInternet.InsteadofintheearlydevelopmentofICNapplicationsisnotagoodfitforidentifyingthesourceanddestinationhost,theheaderofasometypesoftraffic,suchasmediastreamsandreal-timenetworklayerpacketcontai

4、nsanidentifierforthedatacarried.notifications.Toefficientlydeliverallkindsofinformation,weTheprimitiveactionsatthenetworklayerfollowareceiver-arguethatanICNshouldnotonlyidentifyinformationbyitsdrivenapproach:toreceiveapacketofnameddata,ausermustname,itshou

5、ldalsobeawareofthenatureofitstraffic.Wefirstrequestitbyitsname.ThisisinstarkcontrasttoIPwhereaclassifyinformationtraffictypesbasedontwocharacteristics:a)usermayfreelysendpacketstorecipienthosts.AnICN’sreliablevs.unreliabletransferandb)real-timevs.on-demand

6、responsibilityistorouterequestsforinformationtothebestdelivery.Thecombinationofthesetwocharacteristicsleadstoavailablelocationholdingthedesireddata(bestbeingsubjecttothreebroadcategories:a)channels,b)on-demanddocumentsandvariousmetrics,suchashopcount,laten

7、cyorsecurity)andthenc)real-timedocuments.Tohandlealltraffictypes,weproposedeliverthedatabacktotherequestor.twoextensionstotheCCNarchitecture:PersistentInterestsandReliableNotifications.Wedescribehowtheseadditions,togetherAlthoughthecoreabstractionattheinte
