3、mprovethesensitivityofthefeelings.Mostlinguisticstudiesofauditorysensehaveanalyzedtheirlinguisticfeaturesfromtherhetoricalperspective,sotheirformsarerelativelysimple.Therefore,itisofgreatsignificancetoapplytheConceptualMetaphorTheoryofLakoffandJohnson,andusealargenumberofinstancesfromCC

4、LmodernChinesecorpustointerprettheintercommunicationanddisplacementbetweenauditoryandothersensescognitively.Thisstudycollects38752instancesof“sound”asthesearchtermfrommodernChinesecorpusofCenterforChineseLinguisticsofPekingUniversityandthereare2646examplesofChineseauditorysynaestheticme

5、taphorsthroughmanualscreening.Inthecollectedcorpus,thenumberofsensoryadjectivesaccountedformostoftheproportion,sothisstudyonlydiscussesexamplesofsensoryadjectives.WeusethemethodsofcorpusanalysisandcomparativeanalysistostudyChineseauditorysynaestheticmetaphors.Thisstudymainlysolvesthefol

6、lowingthreequestions:(1)whatarethetypesofChineseauditorysynaestheticmetaphorswith“sound”asthesearchterm;(2)whatarethecognitivemotivationsofChineseauditorysynaestheticmetaphorswith“sound”asthesearchterm;(3)whatarethemappingruleofChineseauditorysynaestheticmetaphors.Themainfindingsofthiss

7、tudyinclude:first,themaintypesaresinglesynaestheticmetaphorandmixedsynaestheticmetaphor.Therearethreemainformsofsinglesynaestheticmetaphor:auditorysenseandtactilesense,auditorysenseandtastesense,auditorysenseandvisualsense.Themixedsynaestheticmetaphorincludesfourcombinations:au
