1、AbstractWhenwementiontranslationuniversalswhichasarelativelynewresearchareaoftranslationstudieshaveintriguedmanyscholarsthroughouttheworldinrecentyears,itisinevitabletoinvolveexplicitationandimplicitation.Explicitationis"thephenomenonwhichfrequentlyleadstotranslatedtextstatingsourcetexti
2、nformationinamoreexplicitformthantheoriginal",whileimplicitationreferstotheopposite;thetwophenomenacommonlyexistingintranslationareeasilyobservable.Onexplicitationandimplicitation,forthepastfewyearsmostofthescholarshavebeenfocusingoncorpus-baseduniversalitystudies.Theyareeitherdescriptiv
3、eorinductive,whichobjectivelycomparetwolanguagesandtrytoanalyzeandinterpretthereasonsforexplicitationandimplicitationfromperspectivesoflanguage,informationortheculturalbackgroundsofthetwolanguagesinvolved.However,allthosestudiesleaveoutacrucialsubjectintranslation——thetranslator.Withthed
4、evelopmentoftranslationtheoriesandthereversionofhumanismaswellastheemergencyof"culturalturn"intranslationstudies,theresearchonthetranslator'ssubjectivityhasfounditsboomingtendencies.Theimportantroleofthetranslatorisnotobscuredanymore,risingfrommarginalizedculturalstatussuchas"matchmaker"
5、or"servant"tothecentralposition.Scholarsathomeandabroadhavejustifiedtheexistenceofthetranslator'ssubjectivityandexploreditsprinciplesfromdifferentperspectivessuchaspoly-systemtheory,manipulationtheory,hermeneutics,deconstructionism,feminismandpost-colonialism,etc.Atthesametime,translator
6、'saesthetics,poetics,translationpurposeandtranslationprinciplehavebeenattachedwithgreaterimportance.Withregardtothestudyofexplicitationandimplicitation,theauthorholdsthatitisoffar-reachingsignificancetoprobeintothefactoroftranslator'ssubjectivity.Therefore,differentfromtraditionalcorpus-
