2、eenpreviouslyacquired.Thispaperpresentstheimportance,thecurrentphenomenonoftheChinesestudents’EnglishwritingandtheinfluenceofChinesecognitionandcultureonthestudents’Englishwriting.Inthethirdpart,itputsemphasisonmakingacontrastivestudyofthedifferentcharactersbetweenChinesean

3、dEnglishwhileanalyzingthevariousmistakesinChinesestudents’EnglishwritingcausedbythenegativetransferfromChineseonthelevelsoflexis,syntaxanddiscourse.ThepurposeistominimizethenegativeinfluencefromChineseandimprovestudents’Englishwriting.Keywords:negativetransferfromChineseEng

5、inthelearners,butconstantconflictsaremainlyoncognitionandculture.ThemistakesmadebystudentsinthewritingduringtheirEnglishlearningcomefromtheinterferenceofChineseonEnglish,whichiscalledculturalconflict,that’stosay,culturetransfer.  Transferisapsychologicalterm,whichreferstoth

6、einfluenceofpreviouslearningonsubsequentlearning.Transferistheinfluenceresultingfromthesimilaritiesanddifferencesbetweenthetargetlanguageandanyotherlanguagethathasbeenpreviously(andperhapsimperfectly)acquired.(Odlin,1989)Languagetransferisacommonphenomenoninthelanguagelearn

7、ing.Languagetransferistheeffectofonelanguageonthelearningofanother.(LongmanDictionaryofLanguageTeaching&AppliedLinguistics,2000)Intheprocessoftheforeignlanguagelearning,learnerswillunconsciouslybringthepronunciation,lexical,grammaticalstructures,andthoughtsofthemothertongue
