2、courseisorganizedandpresented.Taskisdefinedasapartofclassroomworkwhichinvolveslearnersincomprehending,manipulating,producingorinteractinginthetargetlanguagewhiletheirattentionisprincipallyfocusedonmeaningratherthanform(Nunan,2004).Morris(1996)pointsoutthatcurriculumdevelopmentincludestheprocesse
3、sthatareusedtodeterminetheneedsofagroupoflearners,todevelopaimsorobjectivesforaprogramtoaddressthoseneeds,todetermineanappropriatesyllabus,coursestructure,teachingmethods,andmaterials,andtocarryoutanevaluationofthelanguageprogramthatresultsfromtheseprocesses. Consequently,‘atask-basedcurriculum
4、’isthekindoflearningcurriculumbasedoncommunicativeactivitieswhicharedesignedforlearners’needs. (b)Advantagesofusing‘tasks’ First,tasksembodythepurposethatstudentsarelearninglanguagefor.Inatask-basedlesson,thelessonisbasedaroundthecompletionofacentraltaskandthelanguagestudyisdeterminedbywhathap
5、pensasthestudentscomplete. Second,studentshavemuchmorevariedexposuretolanguage.Tasksenablelearnerstointegrateseparateelementsofknowledgeandlanguageskillsintotheiractualcommunicativecompetence. Furthermore,tasksprovideacontextforthelearners’naturallearningprocesstooperate.Itwillbedevelopedfroms
