4、ovincebyfar,whichcausedseriousdamagetohighandstableyieldofjaponicarice.Inordertorevealthemechanismofrapidoccurrenceofweedyriceandcontrolitinriceproduction,thespreadingpatternandtheindicaGjaponicageographicaldistributionwereanalized.Wecollected205accessionsof58weedyricepopulationsfrom58sites
5、at13citiesinJiangsuProvince.ThesampleshavebeenplantedinthepaddyfieldofJiangpuFarmofNanjingAgriculturalUniversity.38morphologicaltraitsand6Cheng′sindextraitsweremeasured.EuclideanDistanceclusteringanalysisshowedthatweedyricefollowedamutualGspreadpatternin13cities.TheindicaGjaponicageographic
6、aldistributionofweedyriceshowedthatindicaandindicaGclinoustypeweedyricedistributedin58sites,accountingfor54.15%and42.40%ofthetotalsamples,respectively.JaponicaandjaponicaGclinoustypeweedyricedistributedinonly6sites,accountingfor0.48%and2.93%ofthetotalsamples,respectively.Inaddition,thegeogr
7、aphicaldistributioncomparisonbetweentheindicaGjaponicaweedyriceandindicaGjaponicalandracesshowednocorrespondingrelationship.ThevastmajorityofweedyriceinJiangsuProvinceisindicatypeandjaponicatypeweedyricetakesonlyasmallproportion,whichconformstonaturalgen
