4、wastoevaluatethelevelofpassiveprotectionagainsttransmissiblegastroenter-itis(TGE)among57newbornpigletsnursingfromsevenseropositivesowspreviouslynaturallyinfectedwithporcinerespiratorycoronavirus(PRCV).Afterchallengeexposureweobservedmortalityratesof44%forlit
5、tersofsevenPRCV-infectedsows,40%forlittersoffoursowsorallyimmunizedwiththeattenuatedTGEVstrainNouzilly,and91%forlittersofsevenseronegativesusceptiblesows.AblockingELISAwithtwoappropriatemonoclonalantibodiesdistinguishedserologicalresponsesofPRCV-infectedsows
