2、tEnglishreadingisoneofthemostimportantpartsofseniorhighschoolEnglishteaching.ForEnglishForeignLanguagestudents,readingcanbethebestwaytoincreasetheirlanguageinputandimprovetheirEnglishproficiency.However,Englishreadingteachinginseniorhighschoolisfarfromsa
3、tisfaction,andmoststudentsholdanegativeattitudetowardsthepassiveteachingmode.Criticalreadingisahigh-levelreadingactivity,whichcanarousestudents’initiative,enhancetheircriticalreadingproficiencyandfostertheircriticalthinkingability.Conductingcriticalreadi

7、imentlastsforoneterm.Intheprocessoftheexperiment,pre-test,post-test,questionnaires,andaninterviewareconductedandthestatisticalsoftwareSPSS17.0isappliedforanalyzingtherelevantdata.Theexperimentresultsmanifestthatthecriticalreadingcanimprovestudents’readin
