2、toknowthepatterninthisregion.Method:Thestudycomprisedof210clinicallysuspectedcasesofneonatalsepticemiaadmittedintheneonatalintensivecareunit.TwotothreemlbloodwascollectedasepticallyinTrypticaseSoyabrothandisolateswereidentified.Result:Growthwasobtainedin106(50.47%)samples.Gra

3、mnegativeorganismswerepredominant.Multidrugresistantwasobservedinmostoftheorganisms.Conclusion:Astherewasspecies–wisevariationinantibioticresistantpatternoforganisms,werecommendantibioticsensitivityshouldbedonebeforestartingantibiotics.Asforaspossible,firstandsecondlineantibi

6、transmission(4)andcanplayanimportantroleinthedevelopmentofinfectionintheneonate.Therearevariationsregardingthepredominantpathogenanditssensitivitypatternfromdevelopinganddevelopedcountries(3,5,6).GroupBstreptococciisthemostcommoncauseofneonatalinEuropeandnorthAmerica(7)butthe

7、reispredominanceofgramnegativeorganismsintropicalanddevelopingcountries(8,9).Asneonatalsepticemiaislifethreateningemergency,delaysindiagnosisandtreatmentwithappropriateantibioticsmayhavedevastatingconsequences.Surveillanceisneededtoidentifythecommonpathogensofneonatalsepticem
