1、语文课应当加强课文的语言练习建国以来每个阶段的语文课本，都在每篇课文后边编入练习。每次课本改编或者修订，这些练习总或多或少有所变动。总结过去练习变动的情况，主要存在着三个问题。一是练习的基本要求不够明确。练习的基本要求是由目的任务决定的，也是语文教学目的任务的体现。语文教学目的任务问题长期有争论，改动了多次，练习的基本要求也就很难明确。语文教学目的任务有不同的提法，练习就会有不同的侧重，要求和内容也就有所不同。例如，解放初期的语文课本强调思想政治教育，课文的练习就侧重思想内容方面；１９５６年文学课本强调系统的文学

2、教学，练习就都是从文学方面来要求的。以后各个阶段语文课本的练习也有类似情况。二是缺少一个比较科学而且切合实际的课文练习体系。整套课本的各项练习如果组织松散而不配套，那就很难进行严格的系列训练。例如，解放初期语文课本的练习，要求“就实际的听、说、读、写当中提出材料，相机进行”（初中语文课本《编辑大意》），因此各项练习就显得比较零散，不成系统。以后各个阶段课本的练习，基本上还是课文里有什么可练，就练什么，随意性很大，缺少有计划有系统的安排。三是练习题往往脱离organizationsystemandworkingmo
