3、anbedividedintoeuphemism,swearwordandvulgarlanguage.ThispaperisinthesenseofgeneralandequivalentaspectstoanalyzethecharacteristicsandtranslationtechniquesofEnglishslang.1.ThecharacteristicsofEnglishslangTheslangitselfhassomeuniversalityandtheequivalen
4、tcharacteristics,whichperplexesthetranslationofEnglishslang.1.1UniversalityEnglishslangisoftenheardorusedinpeople’slives.Itisakindofdialectwhichthemostfamiliartopeople.Therefore,tosomeextent,hasacertainuniversalityofEnglishslang.1.1.1LimitationTheuse
5、ofslangtobelimitedbyacertaintime,certainoccasions,andthelanguageenvironmentwillbedecidedbypeopleandtime,coupledwithitsusewaswithacertaindegreeofexclusion,so,insomecases,notallpeoplecanuseuniformslang.Forexample,somewordsexpressedinsultingcalls,meanmo
