3、gth.Thisdistinctionisimportantbecauseitprovidestheykeytothedesignapproachwhichmustbeusedforsuccessfulflexiblepavementstructures.Theflexiblepavementclassificationmaybefurtherbrokendownintohighandlowtypes,thetypeusuallydependingonwhetherasolidorliquidasphaltproductisused.Thelowtyp
4、esofpavementaremadewiththecutback,oremulsion,liquidproductsandareverywidelyusedthroughoutthiscountry.Descriptiveterminologyhasbeendevelopedinvarioussectionsofthecountrytotheextentthatonepavementtypemayhaveseveralnames.However,thegeneralprocessfollowedinconstructionissimilarformo
5、stlow-typepavementsandcanbedescribedasoneinwhichtheaggregateandtheasphaltproductareusuallyappliedtotheroadbedseparatelyandtheremixedorallowedtomix,formingthepavement.Thehightypeofasphaltpavementsismadewithasphaltcementsofsomeselectedpenetrationgrade.附录Fig.·1Amodernasphaltconcret
