4、teastward.TheFuniuMountain,1000-2000metersabovesealevel,isrecognizedastheroofofHenan.InthesouthernpartoftheprovincelietheTongbaiMountainsandtheDabieMountainswithanaverageheightoflessthan1000meters.TheyserveasthewatershedoftheHuaiheRiverandthe19YangtzeRiver.A
5、longtheYellowRiverbetweentheTaihangMountainsandtheYuxiMountainsdispersehillyloesslands.InthecenterofHenanstandsthetoweringSongshanMountain.IntheeastpartoftheprovincestretchesthevastHuanghuaiPlain.Withvastplainsandmoderateclimate,Henanisanimportantnationalbas
6、eforfarmandlivestockproduction.Thearablelandoftheprovincetotals8,110,300hectares,includingacultivatedlandof7,262,800hectares,accountingfor6.24%ofthatofthewholenationandranksthefourth,onlynexttoHeilongjiang,SichuanandInnerMongolia.Henanislocatedinthetransitio
7、nbeltfromthesubtropicalzonetothetemperatezone.Ithasamildclimatewithanannualaveragetemperatureof15.5℃-9.5℃fromsouthtonorth,amoderateannualrainfallof1380.6-526.0millimeters,andafrost-freeperiodof265-332days.Therefore,Henanissuitableforthegrowthofvariouscropsan
